A visit to Hindustan (and beyond)

One Sunday morning, I went to Hindustan. Not a lot of Hindus of Muslims were to be seen, but the Pentecost service was at full swing at the local Christian church. Alas, I did not have proper clothes to join...

Typical landscape nearby: corn and day lilies. (The second most common crop there is corn).

A girl demonstrates a very friendly box turtle, which had recently just walked in into the family home's garage. The creatures apparently liked to be petted, and would not pull in its head and legs, as turtles are apt to do

And, a couple hours later, I am in Brooklyn already.

Equine activities, anyone?

Well, maybe it's good that I did not go by train...
